Oral surgery is a specialized branch of dentistry dealing with diagnosis, surgery and treatment of illnesses, injuries and defects involving both the aesthetic and functional aspects of your smile.

What Procedures Does Dr. Winterholler offer?

• Wisdom Teeth Removal – for the gentle removal of impacted teeth that can cause pain and crowding. Dr Winterholler has successfully completed thousands of wisdom teeth over the past decade he has been in practice.
• Implant Placement – to surgically implant the post for the new permanent tooth restoration.
• Extractions – Sometimes it may be necessary to extract a tooth that is no longer restorable. Dr Winterholler is highly trained and skilled in extraction techniques. Our aim is to make you comfortable both before and after your tooth extraction.
• Frenectomy – to assist in closing gaps between front teeth, help dentures fit more comfortably or allow more freedom of movement.
• Gingivectomy – to remove excess gingival (gum) tissue to enhance aesthetics or clean up excess tissue.
• Biopsy – When our Vizilite oral cancer screening technique detects an area of tissue that may be cancerous we sometimes biopsy and send to a pathologist for further evaluation. These procedures are relatively pain free.
